Chimanda Ngozi and her latest Novel ' Americanah'
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie on love, race, culture, immigration and hair - some of the central issues in her latest novel Americanah.What she says when she expands on her statement, ‘I like America but it’s not mine…Nigeria is home to me…but I like that I can leave home’, is incredibly central to the experience of those of us who bounce between the diaspora and and the Homeland (in Chimanda's case: nigeria), those of us who are constantly pulled between two very different worlds that can simultaneously feel like home and a foreign place, all at the same time. I kinda have the same feeling, even if i was born and raised here in europe, i still have a strong connection to Kongo. I didn't read her book yet but i look forward to reading it.

''There is no African, myself included, who does not appreciate the help of the wider world, but we do question whether aid is genuine or given in the spirit of affirming one’s cultural superiority.
My mood is dampened every time I attend a benefit whose host runs through a litany of African disasters before presenting a (usually) wealthy, white person, who often proceeds to list the things he or she has done for the poor, starving Africans.
Every time a well-meaning college student speaks of villagers dancing because they were so grateful for her help, I cringe. Every time a Hollywood director shoots a film about Africa that features a Western protagonist, I shake my head — because Africans, real people though we may be, are used as props in the West’s fantasy of itself.
And not only do such depictions tend to ignore the West’s prominent role in creating many of the unfortunate situations on the continent, they also ignore the incredible work Africans have done and continue to do to fix those problems.''

For decades, the camera was used as a tool through which colonial governments and Western photojournalists alike imposed their own views on Africa through the restrictions of 2D imagery, defining Africa without much, if any, input from those whose faces were plastered on postcards, posters, magazines and media platforms across the world.
Profiling a new crop of African photographers using their lens to transform and inspire both change and development, Al Jazeera opens us up to the world of Nigerian photographer Emeka Okereke, founder of Invisible Borders - a organization that gives ‘African artists a space to define Africa for themselves’. In this video, the group travels on their annual roadtrip within Africa, going from Lagos to Kinshasa, as a means of developing young African artists through the lens of photojournalism.

Meine klene Schwester mit side Puff
Meine kleine Prinzessin ist erst zwei Jahre alt. Sie weisst immer welche Frisur sie gerne haben möchte.
Heute wollte sie ein hoher Puff mit Bobbypins .
Jaaa das hat sie mir gesagt, ich wünschte ich hätte ein Video gemacht !
Ich habe ihre Haare normal gewaschen und beim stylen etwas Mandel Öl benutzt.
Das Ergebnis:
Sieht sie nicht zucker süß aus :D ???????

Ich bin ein großer fan von Al green!!
Er ist für mich einer der besten Soul Sänger aller Zeiten.
In jeden seiner Songs steckt so viel Emotion und Gefühl, jede Note stimmt, man FÜHLT
wirklich die Music.
Heutzutage findet man eher selten solche Lieder, der Kontext ist ganz anders, alles inszeniert, kein Soul, man fühlt die Music nicht mehr meiner Meinung nach. SCHADE!

Ich höre immer wieder dass immer mehr junge afrikanische Frauen nicht kochen können!
Mit kochen meine ich wirklich KOCHEN, wie es unsere Mütter tun, afrikanische Gerichte vorbereiten etc.
Manche können nicht mal FUFU machen!!!
Meine Mutter sagte immer ''MuadiKa, solange du nicht kochen kannst, wirst du weder ausziehen noch heiraten, den eine Frau die nicht kochen kann, ist keine Frau zum heiraten!!''.
Manche werden jetzt zwar sagen'' blabla wir leben im 21sten Jahrhundert, die Zeiten haben sich geändert und WIR auch!''
....
Ich sag egal im welchen Jahrhundert wir uns befinden, dein Mann und deine Kinder werden immer noch essen wollen !!

Rest if you must. Don't Quit !
When things go wrong as they sometimes will,

Life is strange with its twist and turns,

Neues Video am Start !!!
DIY: Haarwachstums fördernde Haarmaske mit Avocado/Kokosmiclch
Was ich auch noch gemerkt habe ist das meine Locken danach schön definiert waren.
Nach dem auswaschen habe ich nichts großartiges benutzt.
Ich konnte die leicht kämmen und sie fühlten sich auch noch super geschmeidig an.
Um die Feuchtigkeit ins Haar zu versiegeln, habe ich einfach die LOC Methode angewendet (Liquid-Oil-Cream)
Ich würde euch empfehlen die Maske zu machen nachdem ihr die Haare mit shampoo gewaschen habt.
